And then the Zebra Stopped – 2013
Oil on canvas – W121 x H106cm
A painting about when the hunted becomes the hunter. A humorous depiction of how the prey, the Zebra, by suddenly stopping absorbs the hunter Leopard into its rear. Under the extreme circumstances of being hunted where normally a primal pre-coded decision to fight or flee is made, it requires a superior intellect to overcome a predator by taking the least expected action.
